New England Prenatal and Family Education
New England Prenatal and Family Education is the prenatal education offering of Lactation Services, LLC. We are UMass Memorial’s chosen provider of education for expecting women, new moms, their families and support persons. Lactation Services, LLC was founded in 2011 to provide Lactation Professionals to UMASS Memorial Hospitals Inpatient and NICU Moms.

Educators
Our Educators are experts in their respective fields. Each instructor brings their unique experience to each class and family they teach. We invite you to learn more about our instructors.
Resources
We offer a number of resources for our class participants including access to breast pumps and accessories for new and expectant mothers.
Childbirth Refresher
For those who have already experienced the birthing process, this class will offer a review of positions for labor and birth, coping strategies and breathing techniques. Discussion of partner's role and sibling adjustment as well as a brief tour of the maternity unit included for those giving birth at UMass Memorial.
Formats:
One day class (2.5 hours with tour included)
Instructions:
You should complete your classes by about 1 month before your due date (earlier for twins). On the day of class, bring a pen, water and snacks.
All classes are held at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. Directions.
